How do I determine how much to pay employees & what benefits to offer?

This is a function of several factors. One is how much other employers pay (pay and benefits) for similar skills. You will need to be competitive to keep your employees from going to work for other employers to earn more money. Paying attention to an employee’s overall well-being will pay off in the end, with lower turnover costs and employees willing to go the extra mile for you.

How do we help our employees be successful in their position?

This is a process known as Performance Management. Regular communication is key to building trust and developing employees to delivering great results. A structured approach generally works best.

What should I do to help employees get along and work together as a team?

One strategy is to help employees understand their personalities and those of their teammates. DISC personality training is an effective tool for this type of training.  This will help guide employees on how best to work with each other. D=Dominate I=Influence S=Supportive C=Conscientious. An experienced DISC trainer is highly encouraged for the best training results.

What is workplace culture?

Every workplace, large or small, has an internal culture. Asking the question, what is it like working there, will generally give you an idea of the culture. Do teams work well together? Do employees treat customers well? Do employees give their best everyday? Does management treat employees with trust and respect?  Great cultures will bring great results.
